Since I got the LOST Season 5 DVDs as a gift, I figured now was as good a time as any to watch before the final season starts. Here’s a bullet point list of things I still find cool when watching the second time around:
- I love how Ben turning the frozen donkey wheel and moving the island through time and space put it right in the path of the Nigerian drug runner plane that carried Yemi in it.
- I’d forgotten how hot Killer Sayid looks.
- Daniel Faraday totally rocks the tortured genius look. I totally would’ve dated him in college.
- Desmond + Penny = Love
- Oh, and how awesome would it be to live on a luxury boat like theirs?
- Hurley sees dead people.
- Neil Frogurt reminds me of Steve Buscemi.
- Hail of flaming arrows!
- “Why is there a dead Pakistani on my couch?” Hehe Mrs. Reyes.
- Eloise is a very special kind of person. The same way Ben is special.
- It has just now occurred to me that Charlie is also short for Charles. But they never would have named him after Penny’s father.
- Oh yes. This was the season of weeding out the redshirts via various island threats.
- I love how the physicist takes it in stride that Miles can talk to ghosts.
- I prefer spunky young Ellie to enigmatic old Eloise.
- Oh yeah, I was actually surprised by the Charles Widmore reveal, wasn’t I?
- How does the island discriminate between interlopers who travel through time and natives who stay put when the flashes happen? I don’t think this was ever adequately explained.
