Hey, hey… the gang’s all here. Except for Jin and Desmond, of course. Locke says that he and Jack have some catching up to do. Hurley gives Jack a gun so they can go “catch up.” Locke plants a torch in the ground.
“You look just like him… What bothers me is that I don’t know what the hell you are. Why John Locke?”
“Because he was stupid enough to think he came here for a reason…” And because Jack brought his body back.
Jack wants to know if Smokey was also Christian. Yep. Why? He needed to find water, and all Smokey has ever been interested in is helping him. Helping him leave. Because Jacob chose him, he was always trapped on the island before he even got there. But now Jacob’s dead, and they can got on the airplane and fly away. But they have to do it together.
John Locke wasn’t a believer. He was a sucker.

Ben is sitting with Locke in the ambulance after Desmond hit him with the car. Locke tells them to contact Helen Norwood.
Arrived at the hospital at the same time as the GSW victim… Sun. She says, “It’s him. It’s him.” She recognizes Locke in this timeline?
The island.
Claire was following Jack and Locke. Because Jack is her brother. Now Jack and Claire have a lot of catching up to do. “Did he tell you that he was the one pretennding to be our father?” She’d given up hope that Jack would ever come back. But it’s good to see him. It means a lot to her that he’s coming with them. Except he hasn’t decided whether or not he’s coming with them. “You decided the moment you let him talk to you, just like the rest of us. Whether you like it or not, you’re with him now.”
Creepy.
Sawyer tells Hurley about the sub. Kate’s talking to Sun about it. But they’re leaving Sayid behind, because he’s gone to the Dark Side. Hurley tries telling him that people can be brought back from the Dark Side, like Anakin, but Sawyer doesn’t get the Star Wars reference.

Cop Sawyer offers perp Kate an apple. Both in black leather. Yummy. “Funny, you don’t strike me as the murdering kind.”
“That’s because I’m not.”
“You make sure and tell that to the Feds when they get here.”
They remember each other from Oceanic Flight 815. “Of all the cars in Los Angeles…” He thinks it’s funny they run into each other again, like someone’s trying to get them together. He claims he didn’t see the handcuffs on her in the elevator, but she says she thinks he let her go because he didn’t want anyone to know he went to Australia.
Miles tells Sawyer about the shootout at the restaurant with lowlife Keamy dead. Sayid is the bad guy.
The island.
“He’s different now.”
“Guess we’re all different now.”
Deep Jack. Jack and Kate don’t know if they believe Locke about everyone leaving together.
Here comes Zoe, Widmore’s #2. Locke took something from them, and they want it back. Widmore brings in the fire support. “You have until nightfall to bring back what you took, or next time we won’t miss.” Nice explosion.
Locke smashed her walkie talkie. “Well, here we go.”
How much of what Smokey Locke says is a lie? He offers answers… but are they the truth? So close to the end, would they still keep lying to us? (And the characters, of course?)
In L.A.
Claire has an appointment with the adoption agency. Desmond is there. Trying to be all friendly, but I think he’s creepign her out. He was right about the baby being a boy. He’s being nosy about her going to the adoption agency alone, thinks she should have some legal representation. He’s going to see a lawyer right now. She doesn’t have money for a lawyer. But this lawyer he’s seeing owes him a favor. It won’t cost her a cent. Who’s the lawyer? It’s Ilana!
Ilana seems troubled. She’s been looking for Claire… Weird. Is it about Christian, maybe?
The island.
Claire asks Hurley what’s going on. “People trying to kill us again.” Ha!
Locke says that Widmore’s group is trying to provoke a confrontation, and he’s going to give it to them. Locke tells Sawyer to take a boat to Hydra Island. They’re splitting up to head to Hydra Island to hop on the plane and get outta Dodge.
Sawyer tells Jack to gather the others (ha!) but not Sayid and Claire. (“Sayid’s a zombie.”) Double back because they’re not going to the rendezvous point. He has a deal with Widmore.
Locke tells Sayid to kill Desmond if he still wants what they talked about. Nadia.
Sayid aims his gun into the well. Desmond is just sitting there.
“So what did he offer ya? If you’re gonna shoot me in cold blood, brutha, I have a right to know what you’re getting in exchange for it.”
Sayid tells him he can get back the woman he loved. Who’s dead.
“What makes you think Locke can bring her back?”
“I died and he brought me back.”
“So what will you tell her? This woman, when she asks what you did to be with her again, what would you tell her?”
In L.A.
Sayid packs his bag. Nadia wants to know what’s going on. He tells her he took care of it, but he has to leave. He’s never going to be able to come back again.
“What did you do, Sayid?”
“Stall them.”
It’s Miles. He’s got his LAPD badge. He wants to ask her some questions, finds the open suitcase.
Sawyer trips Sayid as he tries to slip out the back door. He’s under arrest.
The island.
“There she blows. You ready to get wet?” Nice, Sawyer. He tells Kate about the plan to ditch Locke. Called Frank the pilot that looks like he stepped out of a Burt Reynolds movie. Sawyer tries to convince Kate they can’t bring back Claire because she started drinking Locke’s Kool-Aid. Nice. They start swimming to the sailboat.
Locke and company are trooping through the jungle. Jack wants to know how long Claire has been with Locke. “So you trust him. Why?” Because he’s the only one that didn’t abandon her.
Locke asks Sun if she’s seen Sayid because he was supposed to catch up with them about a mile back. “What’s with the silent treatment?” LOL
Jack grabs Hurley, Sun, and Frank, but Claire is watching. She’s going to either follow them or tattle to Locke.
Locke catches up with Sayid. What took him so long? He just shot an unarmed man. He needed a moment.
“Go and check if you like.” I think he knew that Locke wouldn’t check. Desmond can’t be dead.
Jack and company running. Hurley found the dock. Kate and Sawyer brought the sailboat around.
And there’s Claire, leveling her rifle at them, demanding to know where they’re going.
“She’s coming or I’m not,” Kate says. Locke promised Claire, but Kate is promising her now. Claire puts down the gun, allows Kate to take it from her.
“He finds out we’re gone, he’s going to be mad.” Speak it, crazy Claire!
In L.A.
Jack and son walk into the same office building that Claire and Desmond are in. Jack gets a phone call from the elusive mom. Who is it? Whoever it is, he’s dropping David off at 5:00. They’re there for the reading of Christian’s will. That is why Ilana was looking for Claire.
“I’ve got a surprise for you,” Ilana says. “Do you believe in fate?”
Oh yeah, here’s your new half-sister! Jack tries to wrap his head around this. And the phone rings. “Go ahead and prep him. I’m 20 minutes away.” That’s gotta be Locke. They’re rescheduling the reading of the will.
The island.
Sailing! Nice scene. Sawyer tells Frank the plan, getting cuddly with Widmore on Hydra Island and putting the gun to someone’s face to make them take them home.
Frank’s hungry. Kate takes the wheel. Sawyer didn’t think Jack would come around. Jack says it doesn’t feel right leaving the island. Now Jack is spewing the “We were brought here for a reason” crap. If Smokey is so keen on getting them off the island, maybe he’s afraid of what will happen if they stay.
Sawyer says to stop the crazy talk or go in the water. Tells him to take a leap of faith and get off his damn boat. Ha! Is he gonna jump? “I’m sorry that I got Juliet killed.” And he jumped. Whoa.
Kate: “We gotta go back and get him.”
Sawyer: “We’re done going back, Kate.”
In L.A.
Sun’s hospital bed. Jin is asleep in the chair holding her hand. The baby is fine! Such good news! They’re going to be fine. Happy moment.
Jack and David. The kid is surprised that Christian never mentioned that he had another kid. “Good luck, Dad.”
Jack scrubs in. He’s gonna freak when hhe sees it’s Locke. “I think I know this guy.” Okay, so he didn’t freak.
The island.
Jack made it to the beach. Locke is there to greet him.
“Sawyer took my boat, didn’t he?”
Way to sell out your friends, Jack.
Zoe and company pull weapons on Sawyer and friends.
Jin! Sun! Together again at last! They meet at the pylons.
“I love you! I never stopped looking for you!” She can speak English again! Kisses!
Zoe’s on the walkie. Now they’ve got the Losties at gunpoint again. On their knees. Deal’s off.
Explosion. Jack is pretty deaf now. Locke scooped him up and carried him off before a second blast could blow him to bits. “Everything’s going to be okay. You’re with me now.” Crap.
