Blogging While Watching LOST: The Incident – Part 2

by Christina Gleason on May 13, 2009

Jacob lives at the foot of the statue?

Which surgery is this? Oh, the one from Jack’s story to Kate about counting to 5 to get over the fear. It was his father who told him to count. Then his Apollo bar got stuck in the vending machine. Doh. Jacob got his Apollo bar out. “It just needed a little push.” Like the one Jack got from his father in the operating room.

Sawyer is telling Jack about his parents. He didn’t get on the sub to stop his dad from killing him mom because, “What’s done is done.”

Jack is doing this all for Kate. YEAH SAWYER! Punch him! Ow… Aww, Sawyer, you should’ve shot him if you wanted to stop him. Juliet changed her mind? Why?

Rachel and Juliet – they’re parents are getting a divorce. “Just because two people love each other doesn’t mmean they’re meant to be together.” Parallels this scene in 1977, but no Jacob.

Juliet changed her mind because Sawyer looked at Kate. “If I never meet you, then I never have to lose you.”

Drilling at the Swan.

Kate is tending to Jack’s broken face. If she’s having a change of heart, will Jack change his mind, too?

They hit the pocket of energy. We’re only 20 minutes in… the Incident is going to happen NOW?

Hurley is getting out of jail. He doesn’t want to be. The discharge officer isn’t having any of his brand of crazy. He ends up sharing a cab with Jacob. “I’m definitely not dead.” Is the cab driver Caesar?

Jack is basically rigged with a low tech version of Captain Keamy’s dead man’s switch. The DHARMA folks can shoot him, but the bomb is going to go off when he hits the ground.

“I’m beginning to think you just make these rules up as you go along, Richard.” LOL. Is that a dig from the producers about similar criticism they’ve received?

What’s John’s game here? Does he really want Ben to kill Jacob? Or is he setting Ben up to get killed? Will he recognize Jacob? What is UP with Jacob? Is he supposed to be God?

Revelation. The smoke monster didn’t kill Keamy and his commandoes because they opposed Ben, and Ben was not in Jacob’s good graces.

Miles talks sense. Maybe the nuke is what causes the incident. We’ve been saying that in the forums for a while now, even before we knew about the bomb. Ever since they went back in time, a contingent of fans has realized that the LOSTies may have been the actual cause of the incident.

Jack dropped the bomb!

And… nothing happened. Oh wait… the sound. It’s like the when Locke destroyed the computer… before Desmond turned the key.

NO!

Juliet. I was so afraid it was going to be her. But if she didn’t let go, those chains we going to rip her in half. I’m trying to type through tears… No easy task, because I’m already so congested I can’t breathe through my nose. Poor Sawyer. He loved her. He really loved her. Now my eyes hurt.

Sun wants some alcohol. So does Richard. LOL.

“Which one of you is Ricardos?”
“It’s Richard, actually.”
“What lies in the shadow of the statue?”
[insert a foreign language I don't understand]

Here’s the part where everyone who tried to tell us this wasn’t really John Locke gets to say, “I told you so.” I didn’t believe them. But Ilana had Locke in a box. Dead Locke in a box.

“You found your loophole.”

What is going on? Jacob was stabbed and thrown into the fire.

Juliet’s alive! (Husband says: Not for very long.) The bomb. She’s going to detonate the bomb.

THAT IS SO UNFAIR!

What lies in the shadow of the statue is “He who will save us all”.

Ahhh, I can’t stand knowing that it won’t be back next week!

I had heard the woman playing Juliet had signed on to do a new TV show next fall, so I wasn’t surprised she died. (Although I was hopeful at the end, then KABOOM!) How am I supposed to wait until next Jan????

Oh yeah, how much did you like the Sawyer/Jack smack down? ;)

Sawyer/Jack smackdown was a long time coming! I was cheering for Sawyer.
