Jack with a bloody face. Yuck!
Ship in a bottle? Is it the Black Rock? Gotta be Widmore. Richard? Huh.
Locke brought dinner. A boar. For once, Richard doesn’t have all the answers. “There’s something different about you.” Oh yeah, that’s because he’s a zombie now.
Richard Alpert is “a kind of advisor. And he’s had that job for a very, very long time.” Since ancient times?
Richard remembers our LOSTies from 1977 very clearly. Because he watched them all die. Rut roh!
I want to know if John really can save them if Richard said that they died. Can he change the past? Can any of them? Was Richard telling the truth? I don’t remember us ever catching him in a lie before.
“If we do what’s in that journal, none of this will have happened.” Verb tenses are funny with time travel. Let’s hope that Jack, Daniel, and Eloise know what the hell they were (will have been?) talking about.
Radzinski, I swear to God, if you kill Sawyer… I don’t even have the words to finish that sentence.
Hurley’s looting the pantry. Dr. Chang saw him go… and he didn’t look happy. He followed them. “Alright, dude, we’re from the future.” LOL.
Aww. “You are my son?” Oh dear.
“He’s been right about everything so far. If he said get everyone off the island, I’d do it.”
So now Jack and Kate have seen the young Charles Widmore. “Love is complicated.” Ha!
We all wondered how Richard knew where Locke was going to materialize after he’d been shot by Ethan by the Nigerian plane. We wondered how he knew he’d been shot. Why he told John he’d have to die to get back. It’s because Locke told him… himself! How did Locke know that this is when it happened? Lucky guess? Richard wasn’t intentionally being mysterious here, he really didn’t know anything else.
“This must be quite the out-of-body experience… How did you know when to be here?”
“The island told me.”
The island has never talked to Ben. Ben has never seen Jacob or talked to Jacob. Ben’s just a big old humbug like P.T. Barnum. (Don’t mind the simile. We went to the circus tonight. That’s why I’m a little later than usual posting this… I’m watching on DVR tonight.)
Where did Kate get shot? Was that a gut shot like Daniel’s? Kate can’t die! Not Kate! Oh Sayid, please tell me you shot the guy in time before he could get in a kill shot. She’s just wounded, right? Or is this why Richard said he watched them all die? I wasn’t a big fan of the whole “let’s change the past so we can change the future” thing before, but if we can undo some of these people dying, that would be awesome!
Kate’s okay. The other guy missed.
“Since when did shooting kids and blowing up hydrogen bombs become alright?”
Kate’s right. Jack does sound like Locke now with all of this destiny talk.
The women and children are being evacuated. There goes Charlotte. Miles knows now why his mom bad-mouthed his dad so much. Dr. Chang had to make her hate him in order to get her on that submarine.
“We’ll buy Microsoft. We’ll bet the Cowboys in the ‘78 Super Bowl. We’ll be rich.” Nice, Sawyer. Very nice!
The Others have to swim underwater in order to get to the tunnels. Is that why they never wore shoes when we saw them in the era of Ben’s rule? This may put another twist on the vision of Wet Dripping Backward-Talking Walt.
Wet Jack, not so cool. Wet Sayid? Yummy.
Locke wants to take all fo the Others with him to see Jacob.
“I’m starting to think that John Locke is going to be trouble.”
“Why do you think I tried to kill him?”
Oh dear. Sawyer is handcuffed to the submarine with Juliet and Kate. Uncomfortable torture for all!
The sub diving was very bad CGI.
The beach! We haven’t had a good walking along the beach scene in months. Nice man to man talk with Ben and Locke.
Dude. Locke is going to kill Jacob? Gah! Next week is going to be awesome!

I have to admit, all that talk about Jacob and no one seeing or speaking to him started seeming very Wizard-of-Oz-like.
Agreed. They did show him briefly that one time Locke heard him say, “Help me.” One single frame of a man in a chair… I wonder how this will go down!
thanks for twittering me about your lost blog. I agree the cgi sub was awful!
Why did the Darma group leave the island the first time? If everyone is evacuated does that mean the drilling stopped so they won’t need the hutch to contain and release the energy? If they don’t drill then the energy is never tapped into and will not later bring down the plane.
They only evacuated the women and children. If you remember, the reason why DHARMA doesn’t exist in 2004 (except for Kelvin and Desmond in the Swan) is because Ben and the Hostiles killed everyone in the Purge. There are still a whole bunch of men left on the island.
